Join a discussion on Monday, November 9th at 11:00am PT/2:00pm ET entitled, Ending Conversion Therapy: Supporting and Affirming LGBTQ Youth. Sponsored by the NCTSN Culture Consortium, the NCCTS Policy Program, the NCTSN Policy Task Force, and the NCTSN Child Sexual Abuse Committee.  (See instructions to join call at the end of this post.)

Representatives from Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and the American Psychological Association will discuss a new SAMHSA report that presents research, clinical expertise, and expert consensus on therapeutic practices related to children’s and adolescent’s sexual orientation and gender identity and makes the case for eliminating the use of conversion therapy among this population.
